ABOUT ME
I’m Nina, the Founder of InkTree Education.
I’m an experienced secondary school senior leader, proud mum of two girls and a lifelong lover of literature. My practice, both as a professional tutor and an educational consultant, is driven by a deep belief in every child's potential. I believe that access to a high-quality education for every young person should be a right, not a fight.
My journey in education so far has included being a secondary Deputy Headteacher and Director of Learning for English and Literacy, leading a large department of English teachers in an outstanding inner London school. I hold full QTS, a Master’s degree in Teaching Studies and a first-class degree in English Literature and French from the University of Warwick.
I hold an enhanced DBS check, which is registered on the update service, am Level 3 safeguarding qualified and an individual member of the Tutors’ Association. This means I adhere to the highest professional and safeguarding standards, ensuring your child is in safe hands both academically and pastorally.
In terms of consultancy, I work with schools, alternative provision settings, local authorities, charity sector organisations and individual families to drive educational standards. I’m also Director/Trustee of a youth charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged girls.
Alongside my background in mainstream school leadership, I bring my experience as a professional SEN tutor to my consultancy work, helping families build bespoke EOTAS curriculums tailored to their child’s personal interests and needs. I also provide 1:1 tuition myself for children who are educated otherwise than at school.
At the heart of InkTree is my mission to help students thrive, belong and succeed. If you share these values and are looking for expert tuition or consultancy services, please get in touch. I’d love to help.

HEAR FROM THOSE WHO'VE USED INKTREE EDUCATION BEFORE
“InkTree is more than a tuition service – it’s a lifeline, created with compassion, expertise and a deep belief in every child’s potential. InkTree was born from both professional knowledge and personal experience – a fusion that gives the business its soul. What sets InkTree apart is the individualised care and attention each child receives. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach.”
Client nomination for Havering Business Awards
"Nina has been instrumental in helping two of my daughters through their GCSE English journey. She has been particularly supportive with my daughter, currently in Year 11, who was recently diagnosed with Dyslexia, helping her move from grade 3 to grade 6. She is an expert in her field but also caring and fully committed to supporting her students to allow them to reach their full potential."
PARENT OF A YEAR 11 TUTEE
“The impact that Nina has had in 6 months has been nothing short of astonishing. It is hard, in fact, to overstate the impact this has had on us as an organisation, but one clear sign of her influence has been the fact that we have been able to deliver our biggest growth in programmes in our history.”
